#TYFYS April 25th is the anniversary of the day when Australian and New Zealand soldiers landed on Gallipoli in 1915 as part of the Allies' invasion. It is a day to recognise the more than 1.5 million service men and women who have served our country in all conflicts, wars and peacekeeping operations. LEST WE FORGET ANZAC Day is when we gather not only as a community of faith but also as a nation to honor and remember the brave men and women who served, sacrificed, and stood valiantly for our freedom and way of life. On this solemn occasion, we pay tribute to the Anzacs, whose courage and resilience continue to inspire generations. pause to reflect on the significance of this day. ANZAC Day is a time for us to commemorate the spirit of mate-ship, selflessness, and service that defines the Anzac legacy. It is a day to remember those who answered the call of duty, leaving behind the comforts of home to defend this land, uphold our values, and secure our future. In the midst of global tensions and conflicts, it is imperative that we recognise the resilience of all who endured the hardships of war and the anguish of loss. We must also acknowledge the impact of war on individuals, families, and communities, both on the battlefield and on the home front. Let us draw strength from the enduring legacy of the Anzacs. May their sacrifices serve as a beacon, inspiring us to strive for peace, justice, and reconciliation in our world today. RECESSIONAL God of our fathers, known of old, Lord of our far-flung battle-line Beneath whose awful Hand we hold Dominion over palm and pine— Lord God of Hosts, be with us yet, Lest we forget—lest we forget! Rudyard Kipling 1897
